The Iceman Cometh to DVD
6th Jul 05
Hong Kong Legends have announced the release of a new film from the director of Naked Killer (Clarence Ford) and the star of Projet A (Yuen Biao), in the form of the all-action, time-travel sci-fi epic, The Iceman Cometh, available to buy on DVD from 25th July 2005 (£16.99).
Having vowed to dedicate his life to defending the Emperor of the Ming Dynasty and his kingdom, a young warrior and imperial guard, Ching (Yuen Biao), finds himself in pursuit of a fellow guard, Fung San, believed to be responsible for murdering the royal princess.
Fung San has also stolen the mythical Black Jade Buddha, an ancient relic possessing mystical powers, and intends to use its magic for his own evil ends. Ching confronts Fung San and the pair face off in a fierce swordfight that results in them both falling into a glacial crevice where they are frozen.
Three hundred years later, the two warriors are accidentally discovered and restored to life in modern day Hong Kong where these two strangers in a strange land are destined to continue their timeless conflict. But does Ching have the power to prevent his old enemy from the past becoming the evil master of earth's future?
One of the greatest action adventures to come out of the Golden Era of Hong Kong cinema, THE ICEMAN COMETH features jaw-dropping stunts and dazzling scenes of combat featuring two of the genre's most skilled martial arts practitioners.
More Information
Appearing alongside Biao are fellow Hong Kong cinema stars Maggie Cheung (Police Story; Dragon From Russia) and Yuen Wah (The Master; The Swordsman).
